Billings, Montana – The Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter (YVAS) announced a significant achievement just in time for the holiday season: every adoptable pet in their care found either a foster home or a permanent family to spend Christmas with.
This joyful news comes as a testament to the compassion and generosity of the local community. YVAS expressed deep gratitude towards the families who opened their homes and hearts to these animals, giving them the gift of love and comfort during the holiday season.
In recognition of this special occasion and to allow their dedicated staff time with their families, the shelter will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 25th and 26th. The brief closure is a well-deserved break for the team who have worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of the animals under their care.
YVAS will reopen its doors from 12-5 pm on Wednesday, December 27th, and will resume its normal business hours starting Thursday. The successful clearing of the shelter not only brings joy to the animals and their new families but also highlights the spirit of giving and community support prevalent during the holiday season. This achievement by YVAS stands as a beacon of hope and kindness, reminding everyone of the joy that comes from helping those in need, especially the furry friends who enrich our lives.
