Vehicle accident on Minnesota Avenue resulted in the deaths of four young people

Billings, Montana – An accident in downtown Billings early Saturday morning resulted in the deaths of four young people.

In a tragic turn of events, four individuals, including two teenagers, were killed in a vehicular crash in Billings. According to the Billings Police, the accident occurred in the 1800 block of Minnesota Avenue around 1:48 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found two people already deceased. Two additional victims succumbed to their injuries shortly after at local hospitals in Billings.

The incident involved a single vehicle that was traveling westbound before veering off the road. The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with a large pole supporting a business sign. The victims of this tragic accident were identified as an 18-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, and two 14-year-old females.

The initial investigation by the authorities suggests that excessive speed, the possible influence of alcohol, and no seatbelts were significant factors contributing to the severity of the crash.

In response to the accident, a section of Minnesota Avenue near the crash site was closed for investigation. This closure allowed authorities to conduct a thorough examination of the scene to better understand the circumstances leading to this tragic outcome.
