The urban camping ordinance receives final approval from the Bozeman City Commission

Bozeman, Montana – Bozeman city officials held a second vote on the law restricting urban camping on city streets on Tuesday night.

After hearing some arguments from the public, the city commissioners voted 4-0 to approve the legislation.

In thirty days, the ordinance will become operative.

The original draft of the rule called for campers to relocate every five days, while the current ordinance mandates every thirty days.

Additionally, the $100 civil penalty was reduced to $25.
